Individual Support

I am able to provide psychological treatment for a range of presenting issues. A summary of the areas of focus that I can assist with are listed below. If your particular concern is not listed or you are unable to put into words what has been happening for you, please don’t hesitate to reach out to see how I can be of support.

Areas of focus:

  • Emergence of symptoms of a mental health condition, such as depression, anxiety or OCD. This can be at any point in time from trying to conceive to the early years of parenting.

  • Preparing for the adjustment to pregnancy or parenthood when you have a pre-existing mental health diagnosis.

  • Difficulties conceiving and infertility.

  • Perinatal loss and grief. This includes pregnancy loss, termination for medical reasons, still birth or death of a neonate.

  • Feeling worried or stressed about the pending labour and birth, caring for an infant, changes to your life and/or relationships.

  • Birth trauma or feelings of disappointment with your birth.

  • Attachment difficulties with your baby.

  • Feeling a loss of identity or purpose, loss of connection with your values and what is important to you.

  • Feeling overwhelmed or that you have intense feelings of anger or rage.

Other Information

  • To ensure that I can continue to provide high quality support, I am currently working with clients who are in the pre-conception stage to approximately two years postpartum.

  • Babies are very welcome to attend appointments.

  • The first one to two sessions involve a holistic assessment to gather information and develop an understanding of your individual treatment goals. Therapy will then commence.
